The ease of use starts with unpacking. Just lay the box down on its back and gently pull on the handle. The fully assembled vacuum will roll out on its large rear wheels. One of the two included bags is already installed, so you can just plug it in and begin vacuuming.
You can’t help but to feel in control with the powerful Self-Propelled feature this vacuum was named for: Power Drive™ Indeed! With a gentle nudge on the handle, the vacuum propels itself forward. Pull back lightly and the vacuum reverses effortlessly. You can easily turn the self-propelled Power Drive™ off with the switch conveniently located on the handle, but we can’t imagine why anyone would. This is one truly impressive feature you have to feel to appreciate!
You’ll probably want to adjust the nozzle’s height depending on your application. Changing this setting is easy, just slide the carpet height selector to one of four positions, with one being the highest and four being the lowest, and suitable for bare floors*. (The handle should be on the upright position before adjusting the carpet height setting) * Caution: The agitator does not stop spinning when the vacuum cleaner is on, regardless of the carpet height setting.
You won’t feel tied down thanks to the ample 31-foot power cord, giving you plenty of room to roam. And with over 10 feet of reach*, the attached super stretch hose brings all over-head and above-the-floor cleaning within easy reach. * Total reach is measured as the combined hose, wand, and tool reach.

The dusting brush is designed for use on cornered furniture, tabletops, books, lamps, lighting fixtures, Venetian blinds, baseboards, shutters, registers, and more.
The furniture nozzle, also knows as the upholstery nozzle, is designed for use on upholstered furniture, draperies, tapestries, mattresses, clothing, automobile interiors, carpeted stairs, and more.
The crevice tool may be used in tight places, corners, and along edges in such places as dresser drawers, upholstered furniture, stairs, and baseboards.
The wand mounts conveniently on the side of the vacuum when not in use and is designed to give extra length to your hose. It attaches to any of these tools.
Attaching the side mounted super-stretch hose is quick and easy. With the cleaner in its upright position, and the power off, simply open the hose door and insert the hose connection until it snaps into place (it only goes in one way). The suction will automatically be directed to the hose when the power is turned on. Removing the hose is just as easy. Simply press the latch on the hose connector and pull up.
You are bound to appreciate how easy it is to change the bags on this vacuum. The bag cover opens easily with a gentle pull on the bag door latch and the entire door lifts out of the way giving you open access to the entire bad compartment. From this point, it is simply a matter of pulling the old bag out by its collar and replacing it with the new bag. The bag door goes back in place as easily as it came off.
