| Q: | How does the "Self Propelled" feature work? |
| A: | The self propelled feature assists in the back and forth motion of the machine and reduces the amount of energy needed to push and pull the machine during the cleaning process.
BISSELL is the first company to offer a self propelled deep cleaner.

| Q: | Can I use my PowerSteamer ProHeat or ProHeat Plus as a dry vacuum? |
| A: | The PowerSteamer ProHeat series of deep cleaners can only be used for wet extraction. Do not dry vacuum with these machines or you will damage the internal parts.
Please refer to your Powersteamer ProHeat series User's Guide for full instructions on how to use your deep cleaner.
If you would like a machine which accommodates both dry vacuuming and wet deep cleaning, you may want to consider the BISSELL Big Green Complete Machine, model 7700. This is a self-contained canister model which can be viewed and ordered online on our website at the following link: Bissell 7700 Big Green Complete. |

| Q: | Does the ProHeat Self Propelled Deep Cleaner require assembly? |
| A: | Your ProHeat Self Propelled Deep Cleaner will assemble with 6 screws and a Phillips head screwdriver. The steps are easy and are spelled out clearly in the User's Guide packaged with the machine.

|
| Q: | How do BISSELL Deep Cleaning machines compare with rental machines or professional cleaners? |
| A: | When it comes to convenience, there is no comparison. Owning your own machine means you can clean when it fits your schedule. You're not tied to someone else's schedule or to a rental store's 24-hour return policy. Spills and pet accidents don't happen on a planned basis and the sooner they are cleaned, the better. Beyond convenience, when you add up the continuous cost of professional cleaning or several machine rentals, the initial cost of a BISSELL Deep Cleaning machine is quickly realized. |
|
| Q: | How does deep cleaning work? |
| A: | A BISSELL Deep Cleaning machine sprays a cleaning mixture deep into your carpet as the nozzle head's built-in brushes help root out deeply embedded dirt. All the while, powerful suction immediately pulls out the dirt and liquid. |
|
| Q: | How long will it take for my carpet to dry? |
| A: | Drying time varies by type of carpet, thickness of pad and cleaning technique of the user. On average, however, it's best to wait two to three hours before walking on the carpet after deep cleaning. |
|
| Q: | Is owning a machine expensive? |
| A: | When you consider the investment many people have in their carpet and fine upholstery fabrics, a regular deep cleaning - at least twice a year (even more often for high traffic areas and spills) - is an inexpensive way to protect your carpet investment. The payback on ownership is very rapid when compared to the cost of several rentals or continuous professional cleanings.

|
| Q: | How often should I Deep clean my carpet? |
| A: | BISSELL recommends a thorough deep cleaning of your carpet approximately two or three times a year.
For high-traffic areas and the occasional spot or spill, you may use your deep cleaner as needed.

|
| Q: | Will I remove the soil and stain protection that was applied at the mill when I use an upright deep cleaner on my carpet? |
| A: | Carpet protection applied at the mill typically wears down with heavy foot traffic over time and with everyday cleaning, including deep cleaning. To help restore this important protection, BISSELL now offers a new applicator for the ProHeat Pro-Tech™ to apply Scotchgard™ protector with the same materials used by carpet mills. This offers extra protection against dirt and tough stains to keep your carpet looking good longer.
This Scotchgard protector is sprayed over the carpet after you have completed your deep cleaning.
BISSELL has also added Scotchgard to several cleaning products. Use of these products will help prevent permanent stains on your carpet. Those with added Scotchgard include the BISSELL Fiber Cleansing Formula and BISSELL Allergen Formula - both for full size deep cleaners.

|
| Q: | Is there an optimal speed at which I should use my upright deep cleaner? |
| A: | Cleaning your carpets too quickly or slowly may not optimize cleaning performance. The BISSELL ProHeat Pro-Tech™, model 7920, features a PerfectPass™ indicator which takes the guess work out of the cleaning process. The right speed will achieve better cleaning results.
When you are using the PerfectPass™ at the "Best Cleaning" speed, you will be cleaning about 20 inches of your carpet each second. |
