Here's how the Twin Chamber System works: Heavy dirt entering the machine is drawn into the empty chamber and is kept there by a permanent pre-filter, located between the two chambers. The pre-filter allows only finer particles of dirt to pass into the second chamber, where they are trapped by a HEPA filter with a self-shedding surface. Because the particles tend to shed from the HEPA filter, there is less build-up of dirt to clog it and restrict air flow. This helps provide longer cleaning performance.
Another plus fo rthe Hoover Bagless model is the fact that its HEPA filter should last three years under normal household conditions. And, dirt disposal for the new Hoover Bagless is mess-free, thanks to its dirt chamber with lid that keeps waste in place while it is being removed from the unit and carried to a wast receptacle.
