Heavy-duty brass heating element.
Unlike steamers that are made specifically for the consumer (and TV) market, we use an exclusive heavy-duty brass-heating element in our G4 series steamers. The brass is made to withstand the rigor of day-to-day use, and is much more durable and resistant to scale build-up than aluminum.
Anti-spill cap, full one gallon capacity.
To prevent accidental water spillage, each G4 steamer is equipped with an anti-spill cap. When the bottle is turned over to put into the steamer, the anti-spill cap prevents water from accidentally spilling onto your floor (particularly important if you have hardwood flooring). Plus, the G4 steamer is equipped with a one-gallon capacity bottle, good for up to 60 minutes of continuous steaming.
Heavy-duty PVC steam head.
Another quality feature in our G4 steamer is the PVC material used in our steam head. The steam head on our G4 is 2x the thickness (0.5 mm vs. 0.25 mm) of our closest competitor. Why do we spend the extra money on this? In a retail store environment, the steam head is the #1 replacement part (because of the frequency it is dropped). By using a better quality PVC, we dramatically reduce breakage and the need to spend money on replacements.
Removable steam brush.
A removable steam brush is standard with every G4 steamer. For any fabric with a nap such as velvet or corduroy, the steam brush is a very handy tool. To put on the steamer, simply slide it over the edge of the steam head, and reverse to remove.
Brass fittings throughout.
Using plastic for main wear and tear components is not the way to build a better fabric steamer. This is why all G4 steamers have heavy-duty brass fittings throughout. Yes it costs more, but your steamer will perform better, and last longer when it's made right.
