Dyson DC15 The Ball all floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner
The Ball works very differently from traditional uprights, by replacing conventional wheels with a ball. Because The Ball can tilt and pivot (unlike conventional wheels), a simple turn of the wrist allows you to steer through a wide arc, making it easy to maneuver around furniture and obstacles.
The BallOrdinary uprights are unwiedly and difficult to turn, but The Ball twists and turns with a simple turn of your wrist, so you can clean around furniture with less effort. The motor is mounted inside the ball, which keeps the center of gravity low and the machine light in your hand so it's easy to steer. The rubber tires on The Ball prevent slipping.
Glides into awkward spaces
The cleaner head is attached to the main vacuum by a single pivot point, so it maintains contact with the floor even when turning a corner. The low profile cleaner head glides into awkward spaces that are usually missed, like under cabinets and beds.
Large debris pickup
The wide channel on the front of the cleaner head picks up bigger pieces that others leave behind.
Root8 Cyclone technology
A Dyson cyclone spins air at high speed. Dirt and dust are thrown out of the airflow and collected in the bin, not on filters or in bags. So unlike other vacuums, Dyson doesn't clog and lose suction, so it picks up more dirt.
Dyson proves no loss of suction using the IEC 60312 Cl 2.9 test standard.
Hygienic bin emptying
A button on the top of the bin releases a 'trapdoor' in the base, so you can empty the bin quickly and hygienically, with no need to touch the dirt.
High velocity airflow tools
The intake nozzles of the DC15 tools direct high velocity airflow down into the carpet pile. This has two main advantages:
You pick up more because the directional force of the air agitates and dislodges dust.
The airflow is continuous even when vacuuming or upholstery preventing them from becoming stuck to the cleaner.

Motorized Brushbar
DC15 The Ball has a direct drive motorized brushbar. This improves pickup on carpets by sweeping the dust and fibers trapped on the carpet pilt into the constant Dyson airflow, without the need for belts.
