As staying healthy becomes more a part of people's daily lives, it becomes more important for businesses to provide them with the environment they seek. Using an electronic air cleaner like the Friedrich C-90B in your store, restaurant, nightclub, gym, waiting room, hospital or hotel will help you meet your customers' needs.
An added bonus is that employees with allergies or particulate sensitivity will find it more pleasant to be at work, and will not have to suffer through a workday stuffed up and miserable. Happier, healthier employees are certainly more productive.
When making your purchase decision, you should know that Friedrich's C-90B electronic air cleaner received one of the highest Clean Air Delivery Ratings (CADR) in independent laboratory tests! Best of all, the Friedrich C-90B is inexpensive to operate. Unlike more expensive HEPA type air cleaners which can cost $80-$100 per year in filter replacement costs, the Friedrich C-90B filter is reusable and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. What else would you expect from America's best air conditioning company but the best air cleaner?
Growing concerns about ionizers and indoor ozone levels have caused confusion about what is safe. In independent tests, the C-90 was selected as the best safe and effective choice, producing only minimal amounts of ozone. In standardized industry testing, the C-90 produced only .014 parts per million of ozone, well below the UL and FDA limit of .050 ppm. And the Friedrich C-90B has been proven effective by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM).
Top Rated and Now Even Better!
The C-90 has been consistently top-rated by leading publications. It quickly eliminates dust, tobacco smoke, pollen, pet dander and other allergy and asthma triggers. The Friedrich C-90B’s clean air delivery rates (CADR) are as much as 18% higher than its predecessor, the C-90A, which already outperformed 99% of the AHAM certified air cleaners on the market*. And, no other air cleaner rated for 600 sq. ft. or less, outperforms the new Friedrich C-90B.
Energy Efficient
The Friedrich C-90B is ENERGY STAR® qualified. Products that have earned the ENERGY STAR label help protect the environment and cost less to operate. The Friedrich C-90B uses about the same amount of electricity as a household light bulb.
Quiet Operation
The Friedrich C-90B is quiet and unobtrusive. At times you may not even know it's running. On the low fan setting, it runs at 45.89 dBs, almost as quiet as a PC. This makes it ideal for bedrooms and offices, as well as for family rooms and other high-activity areas.

HOW THE FRIEDRICH C-90B WORKS
1
The pre-filter catches the larger particles as room air is drawn
through the rear grille by a small yet powerful 3-speed fan.
2
The electronic cell charges billions of microscopic particles as
they pass through a powerful electric field.
3
Collector plates immediately attract these “charged” particles.
4
The activated carbon filter helps remove most common odors
and fumes as the air is circulated back into the room.
Easy Maintenance
You can keep the unit operating at peak efficiency by periodically washing the electronic cell. Simply lift out the cell and submerge it in a bathtub or other suitable container. It may also be placed in an automatic dishwasher.
The pre-filter can be rinsed with water as needed. The inexpensive carbon filter only needs to be replaced occasionally, about every three to six months.

Eliminate Indoor Air Pollutants From The Air You Breathe
Notice a shaft of sunlight as it streams in through a window. The visible dust and lint are only one percent of the billions of particles present. Most are microscopic and will aggravate allergy symptoms, cause respiratory ailments and contribute to overall discomfort. The Friedrich C-90B effectively works to eliminate these common indoor pollutants:
• Dust particles
• Mold spores
• Pet dander
• Air fresheners
• Plant spores
In Just A Few Years, The C-90B Will Pay For Itself
Don’t let the price tag fool you. Yes, the Friedrich C-90B initial purchase may cost more than some other air cleaners, but other air cleaners can cost much more to operate.
Compare the costs of a Friedrich C-90B purchased for $429.95, and a popular HEPA-filtered air cleaner for $219. If you run each unit on the medium fan setting for 24 hours per day for five years, how much will each air cleaner cost then? In an average year, the Friedrich C-90B costs $182 less per year to operate than a typical HEPA-filter air cleaner. When you add operating costs to the purchase price, the Friedrich C-90B has a five-year savings of $615+.

The C-90B Outperforms Other Technology
The Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) is the standard by which portable room air cleaners are evaluated. You will generally see CADRs expressed for the three most common types of pollutants: tobacco smoke, dust and pollen. CADR refers to the amount of clean air provided
by an air cleaner during each minute of operation, measured in cubic feet. The Friedrich C-90B air cleaner is rated for rooms up to 506 square feet.
With one of the highest CADR ratings in the industry, The Friedrich C-90B quickly removes airborne contaminants as small as .01 microns, approximately 1000 times smaller than the smallest dust speck visible to the naked eye.
Friedrich C-90B Carbon Filter Usage FAQ
How do I install a carbon filter on my air cleaner?
You must remove the plastic cover from the activated carbon filter and install in the unit. Position the pre-filter in the rear of the unit (closest to the electronic cell) and the carbon filter on the front side where the air comes out. Make sure the electronic cell is properly placed in the cabinet - the airflow arrow on the end plate should be pointing toward the fan. Electronic air cleaners should not be placed in any area where potentially explosive gases or vapors exist. In addition, they should not be used in wet environments.
How often should I replace my carbon filter?
Your carbon filter provides a final phase of cleaning, including an effective deodorizing effect. You should replace your carbon filter every 4-6 months, depending on how active the unit is and the amount of airborne particle matter in your room. Carbon filters can be purchased on our website at a cost of $23.95 each.
Do I need to replace my pre-filter?
Your nylon pre-filter is the first stage of the cleaning process. It stops large airborne particles, such as dust, pet dander and pet hair. The pre-filter can be removed and cleaned with mild soap and water, then returned to the unit. Friedrich does not recommend replacing the pre-filter unless the original is lost or damaged.
Aren't the filters really expensive?
Unlike some air cleaners, like the HEPA, there are no expensive filters to replace in the Friedrich C-90B. The only replacement filter is an inexpensive carbon filter which removes odors and fumes.
How do I clean my C-90B?
To clean the electronic cell and maintain optimal performance, lift it out and submerge it in a bathtub or other suitable container with mild detergent, or simply put it in your automatic dishwasher.
How quiet is the C-90B?
The C-90B has three fan speeds. Below is a chart that shows decibel (dBA) readings taken three feet away from some common household sounds.
